Dr. John P. Cocchiarella of Holliston, MA entered into eternal life surrounded by loved ones on Saturday May 13, 2023, at age 84.
Visiting hours will be held from 4pm-7pm on Thursday, May 18th at Chesmore Funeral Home in Holliston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 19th at 11am at St. Mary’s Parish in Holliston.

Council on Aging’s May Meeting Recently Held
The Holliston Council on Aging held its monthly meeting on May 10, 2023. Chair Yvette Cain called the meeting to order at the appointed hour of 2:00pm. After dispensing with the approval of the last meeting’s minutes, the Council moved on to hear the Director’s Report.
HHS Hosts “Art Saves Lives” – May 18th

A Pair of Holliston Players Crowned Free Throw State Champs
Katie Joslin and Jack McDonald each took first place at the Massachusetts Knights of Columbus Free-Throw Competition held on April 1 in Braintree.

Youth Advisory Committee Meets
The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) meeting was called to order by Chair Matt Putvinski at 7:03 PM, on Monday, May 8, 2023. April meeting minutes were approved and will be available on the Youth and Family Services website.
Tree Ordinance on Monday’s Town Meeting Agenda
The Holliston Garden Club and the Friends of Trees have been advocating for Holliston to become a Tree City USA since August of last year. The Select Board has agreed to submit an application to become a Tree City USA. Part of this program’s requirements include adopting a by-law that protects trees in the community.
