Miller Students Contribute to Holliston Author Peters’ Soon to Be Published Debut
This January, local Holliston author Shawn Peters’ middle grade superhero debut, The Unforgettable Logan Foster (HarperCollins, January 4) will be on sale for readers everywhere! Holliston was an integral part of Peters’ writing process – over 100 5th graders from Miller Elementary, where his wife was a teacher, read his manuscript before it was even published.

Francis W. Ludwick at 80
Francis W. Ludwick, 80, of Framingham and a former longtime Holliston resident, passed away at Care Dimensions in Lincoln.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 11:00 AM at Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
Robert T. Peters at 86
Robert T. Peters, 86, affectionately known as “Bert”, of Mendon and formerly of Milford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 2nd from 10am-12pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. Holliston.
David Allen Griffith at 79
David Allen Griffith, 79, of Franklin and resident of Holliston for 55 years, passed away at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester on September 24, 2021.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 4-6 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.

It seems like yesterday I was planning long excursions after the working day to take advantage of those precious summer daylight hours. This has been a summer of hiking, paddle sports, fishing and finding the special places that are in Holliston and the surrounding community. The summer is now over and with that the inevitable change in daylight hours, temperatures, and wildlife behavior.

Youth Advisory Committee Meets
Youth Advisory Committee Chair Jen Lieberman opened the Monday (9.20.21) evening meeting at 7:03 PM with a nod to attending infant Morgan, introduced to all by returning mom Kirsten Rancourt, Community Therapist and Court Diversion Coordinator. Following many expressions of joy for Morgan’s arrival, the Council approved June 2021 meeting minutes.
