When the Holliston Lions asked folks to consider cleaning out their attics and closets and donating clothing, linen, eyeglasses, yarn and hearing aids, we figured we would get some takers. What followed was amazing and we want to thank everyone who participated!
The Holliston Scholarship Foundation has always existed through the effort and generosity of the Holliston Community. Please contribute to the Holliston Scholarship Foundation, if you can, so that together we can continue to help Holliston students begin or continue their college education.
Today we bring you statements from five candidates running for different town boards and committees. With many voters choosing to vote early by mail, we will continue to post all new candidate statements in future Civics Sundays posts. The Town election is scheduled for June 23, 2020.
Kingston Patrick Guellnitz was born January 24, 2020, 8 pounds 1 ounce, to Genevieve and Peter Guellnitz at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

When we read a newspaper or scan a newsfeed these days, it’s hard to find information that’s not somehow related to coronavirus. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed at times by the sheer scope and impact of the times we are living through.
Martha Pelligrino, Holliston resident and Nutrition Educator at Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School (BVT), received the National Employee of the Year Award from the School Nutrition Association.

Just days ago (although you can be forgiven for it feeling like months ago already) we celebrated Mother’s Day. This event is always a little unusual in our family . . . this year was going to be a day unlike any other Mother’s Days I’ve known.
As we prepare for Monday’s release of additional reopening guidance, it is important to remember the general concerns we as a state must address as we move thoughtfully toward a long-term “new normal.”
