Paul Eric Niermeyer of Holliston, MA, passed away on Thursday, July 23rd after a battle with cancer. He was 75 years old. Paul died peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Framingham , Paul was the fourth child of the late William and Kathleen (Mullen) Niermeyer.
A talented carpenter with a strong work ethic, Paul spent his career working on projects ranging from commercial construction to highway infrastructure and the MetroWest Water Supply Tunnel. He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local 609.
Paul will be remembered for his easygoing nature, bottomless curiosity, kindness to animals, and his love of reading, sports, and woodworking. He is missed dearly.
Paul is survived by his wife Joan (Haberski), his sons Eric and Steven, his siblings Ann, Lisa, and Mark, and his beloved dogs Nellie and Daisy. Paul was predeceased by his brothers Earl and Karl.
Memorial services for Paul will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brown Dog Coalition, https://www.browndogcoalition.com/, or to another charity of choice.
