Rail Trail Construction Detours Trail Users

Holliston Reporter

Effective immediately, a trail detour will be implemented around the Casey’s parking lot area between Central and Church Streets. The detour will be in place for the month of September as the Highway Department and contractors work to install the new 21-space parking area on town land.

Trail users detour at Central (left) and Church (right) onto Railroad Street sidewalk.

The Casey’s portion of lot will remain open for their customers. Trail users please be respectful of their business and their property.

Trail users now cross Central via crosswalk and return to trail via new crosswalk (right)

At the end of the month, a new one-way traffic pattern will be established to access the new lot, with parking lot traffic flow entering from Central Street and exiting onto Church Street. A new trail crossing signal will be installed on Church Street.

We will post updates and additional details as soon as possible.
