The sign tells it all. Road construction in Mudville has begun. For the next several months various phases of the work will be completed by our DPW, contractors, and utility companies.
Below is an excerpt from the first status update provided by the Holliston DPW on July 28th. The entire update can be found here->https://www.townofholliston.us/sites/g/files/vyhlif706/f/uploads/residents_notice_-_status_report_1_mudville.pdf

Perhaps you’ve heard of the coat of many colors. In Mudville there are now streets with many colors. If you want to follow along: blue = water; orange = telephone; yellow = gas; white = new drainage basins and pipes; the pink dashes appear to mark the edge of the road and sidewalks.

In some cases, all we need to do is read the cryptic message. Below, the white paint directs the clearing of the brush marked by the orange tape. The white tube is a barrier to prevent contamination of waterways during the construction.

Similar to the water main project completed in Mudville two years ago, the DPW will post updates as needed throughout the project. https://www.townofholliston.us/home/pages/information-on-town-projects
In the meantime, please drive carefully through the construction zone.

Moving telephone poles seems short sighted. This project provides an opportunity to move the utility lines underground.
