Robert Francis Herrick, 91, of Holliston, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Alice (Hilliard) and Albert Herrick.
Robert was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and served his country as a Marine during the Korean War. He worked as a vacuum engineer for National Research Corp, which then sold to Norton Company in Worcester, and then to Varian Associates based in California. He patented vacuum food products. A man of deep faith, Robert was a devoted parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church in Holliston, where he attended daily Mass. He was also a passionate outdoorsman and gardener. He was a talented craftsman, with a gift for both woodworking and metalworking. He also loved a good pig roast. He had a remarkable generosity when it came to sharing his knowledge and skills and was always willing to lend a hand.
Robert is survived by his brother, David Herrick of Holliston, as well as many cousins.
A Mass will be held on Thursday, August 7th at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
