Agenda Item #5 – Updates from the Town Administrator 

a) Follow up from Town Manager Act discussion with MMMA Form of Government (FoG) Committee representative Charlie Cristello (retired Town Manager) from the July 22nd meeting; 

i. Scheduling separately elected boards/committees for 8/12, 8/26, 9/9 

b) Follow up from Town Counsel on discussion of Policy Advisory Committee (DEI Lens, Strategic Plan Initiative) from the July 15th meeting; 

c) Plan for Rep. Arena-DeRosa to discuss Home Rule Petition language (related to voting in local elections) moved  to either August 12th or August 26th (TBD)

i. Holliston ConCom Order of Conditions (OcC) Approved July 30, 2024; Filed with Registry (August  5th

ii. MEPA Notice of Project Change filed July 26, 2024, publish in Environmental Monitor on August  7th 

iii. Small Bridge Grant approved, Seawall/Dam Repair Grant pending 

v. Houghton Pond Dam – Mass. High Hazard Dam Grant Application Submitted August 2nd 

vi. Solar Project – Capped Landfill (Marshall Street) – mobilization of equipment delivery (ballasts)  beginning in mid-August 

vii. Downtown Sewer Project – Submitting HydroGeo confirmation to MassDEP that the existing  Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) can support 50,000 gallons per day; need MassDEP authorization  in writing by mid-September for Fall Town Meeting action to establish Sewer District/Commission 

viii. Sidewalk Projects – Washington Street and Central Street (punch list phase) 

ix. Public Art Project (MAPC Creative Placemaking) to be completed by end of August; two (2) electrical  boxes (corner of Washington/Hollis, and Washington/Green) and doors of Blair Square Pavilion 

x. Final FY2025 State Aid (Cherry Sheet Revenue) Finalized and Sent to Finance Committee xi. ARPA Steering Group – Quarterly Meeting – Thursday, August 8, 2024
