Susan Hester Warren, 72, of Holliston, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Raised in Wellesley, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor and John Hester Sr. She was the loving wife of the late Stephen J. Warren.
Susan attended Chandler School for Women before marrying and starting her family in Holliston. Following the death of her husband in 1998, she began working at WCVB-TV Channel 5. Before officially retiring in 2022, she supported the news coverage of several historic events, elections and sports championships. She loved her WCVB family dearly.
Susan was a devoted wife and partner, loving mother, and adoring “Grammy” to her three grandchildren. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, deep faith and ability to enjoy life, no matter what. She loved travel, summers on the Cape, live music and time with her family.
She is survived by her three daughters, Betsy (and Stephen) Emerson of Wrentham; Katherine (and Stephen) Fleck of Mendon; and Allison Warren of Norwood; her long time, loving partner Jeffrey Cardillo of West Dennis; her brother, John Hester (Dianne) of Wellesley; three grandchildren, Nora, Stephen and Rosalie; and nieces and nephews. She had many lifelong friends and close extended family. She is also predeceased by her brother, Ronald Hester.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31st from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.Chesmore FuneralHome.com A funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church in Holliston. Burial will follow Mass in Lake Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you honor Susan’s memory by spending each day with family and friends, enjoying time at the beach, and giving thanks for life’s many blessings.
