Tina Hein Encourages Questions and Conversations

Tina Hein reserves time prior to her weekly Select Board meetings to chat with residents.  On any Monday evening at 6 PM, residents are encouraged to meet Hein in the comfort of the Upper Town Hall conference room (also accessible by elevator).  Hein invited me to visit with her recently, and I found her to be encouraging of questions and open to any conversation topics and direction.

Hein complimented the topic of a recent Holliston Reporter article that provided readers with the step-by-step process to accessing Board and Committee meeting agendas and links to live and recorded meetings https://hollistonreporter.com/2023/02/zoom-into-board-and-committee-meetings/.  “It’s important that residents know how to keep informed about town governance,” said Hein.  Providing weekly candid and informative time with residents is another way she helps residents stay up to date on town issues.

According to Hein, with Holliston’s many capital projects looming on the horizon, the town is rife with factual-as well as misinformation.  Hein noted that Facebook provides both critical as well as complimentary commentary about all possible topics—but the difference between the two is not always clear. Through her Monday “office hours” she aims to provide the information residents seek up-close and personal.
