Select Board – November 10th  Meeting

The Holliston Select Board took the following key actions during the November 10, 2025, meeting:

  • Approved the Consent Agenda: The Board formally approved nine Rail Trail license agreements. They also approved the re-appointment of Justine Grassey as Animal Control Officer and granted a One Day all-alcohol permit for Lara Carvalho on November 29, 2025.
  • Adopted the “Town Hall Digest” Protocol: The Board discussed and adopted a new communication protocol for summarizing their meetings. This protocol involves using Artificial Intelligence to generate a brief summary and an in-depth recap from the meeting’s audio/video recording, which town staff and the Chair will then review and approve for distribution by the Friday following the meeting.
  • Initiated Planning for May 2026 Town Meeting: The Board began formal discussion on a schedule for budget and Town Meeting Warrant approval and prioritization of major proposed items for the May 2026 Town Meeting, including potential by-law changes, including to change the Town Clerk position from elected to appointed and to increase the Select Board size from 3 to 5 members.

While the Board received the final presentation on the Historic Resource Inventory and the request to support the “Save Money With Clean Heat” campaign, these were discussion and presentation items rather than actions that required a formal vote of approval at this specific meeting.
