HOLLISTON, Mass. April 29, 2025 – The Select Board announces the appointment of its first Town Manager for the Town of Holliston, Frank Gervasio. Mr. Gervasio was hired after a very competitive process which included highly-qualified candidates and public interviews, all overseen by a citizen screening committee and an independent executive search firm. Tina Hein, Chair of the Holliston Select Board, welcomed Mr. Gervasio, stating, “We are thrilled to have Frank Gervasio as our first Town Manager under the new Town Manager Act.
Mr. Gervasio stood out in the process because of his municipal finance experience and his knowledge of Holliston’s opportunities and challenges. He comes to the position with a unique perspective because he is also a resident and raising a family here in Holliston.”
Mr. Gervasio has nine years of public sector leadership experience, five of which focused on municipal finance at the state’s Division of Local Services, where he provided financial analysis, support, and technical assistance to municipalities across Massachusetts. He has spent the past few years serving as the Town of Medfield’s assistant town administrator. In that role, among other duties and projects, he was responsible for managing the Town’s five-year $15 million capital plan. He was also instrumental in the development and publication of Medfield’s budget document, which won the Government Finance Officers Association’s Distinguished Budget Award for the last three fiscal years.
Mr. Gervasio is expected to begin on June 1, 2025. In the meantime, Assistant Town
Manager/HR Director, Kathleen Buckley, will continue to serve as Acting Town Manager.
