Wreaths Across America: Holliston Veterans Remembered

Wreaths Across America began in 1992 in Maine but now is celebrated in all 50 states and 4,800 cities & towns across the nation.

On Saturday at noon 150 graves at Lake Grove Cemetery were decorated by local veterans and townspeople alike.

Holliston’s efforts were arranged by 18 year old Taryn Holmes and began in 2022 as part of a Holliston High School National Honor Society Project. Now in its third year, Holmes told the Reporter that the present effort is a “{continuation”) of that project although she is no longer a student at the high school. The pledge of allegiance, a prayer, and musket salute were all part of the ceremonies for the 60 people in attendance. Holmes thanked those that helped sponsor the wreaths.
