The Holliston Finance Committee is an elected body of seven (7) members. Due to a resignation after the May 2023 election, one seat is open for appointment for a period ending May 2024 (next Town election), at which time the remainder of the term of the open seat will be on the ballot.
Any resident interested in appointment to the seat through the May 2024 may send in a Letter of Interest to the Town Administrator’s Office to be reviewed and considered by the Finance Committee and Select Board. Due date for submission will be June 8, 2023, at 4:30 p.m.
A Letter of Interest must include name, address, background information and/or qualifications, and reason for interest in the Finance Committee. Must be a registered voter of the Town of Holliston.
Pursuant to Town By-Laws, appointment of a Finance Committee member will require a roll call vote of the Finance Committee and Select Board, followed by a swearing in by the Town Clerk before the appointed person will be a voting member of the Finance Committee.
