Henry Thomas Tamagno

Henry Thomas Tamagno (born Enrico Tomasso Amadeo Tamagno) passed away peacefully, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born on June 20, 1936, in Boston, MA, Henry (known as Hank to family and friends) enjoyed a “very good”, long life as he would say to people, full of love and memories, with family being most important to him.

During his childhood and early adult years, he lived in Boston, Newton, and Framingham, MA.  After marriage, he settled in Holliston, MA with his wife Jean, where he raised his family and was a resident of the town for 60 years.

Hank touched the lives of many people and filled many roles throughout his life, including being a son, brother, husband (of 65 years to Jean), brother-in-law, uncle, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grand-father, friend, neighbor, fraternity brother, community member, co-worker, Lions Club Member, and a U.S. Armed Forces Service Member.

Hank will be lovingly and fondly remembered by his family as:

A family man, committed to his family, doing everything he could to ensure they had a good life and were taken care of.

An educated man, graduating from Boston Latin High School and University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Engineering.

An engineer, enjoying professional engineering careers at General Motors and Texas Instruments.

A service man of his country, serving in the Army National Guard.

An involved member of the community, including being a long-term member of the Holliston Lions Club, Holliston Health Board, and other town activities.

A handyman, who could fix just about anything around the house and who loved to spend time showing his grandchildren how to build things.

A hard worker, providing for others, dependable and trustworthy. Giving help to those in need.

Someone who liked to have fun and enjoy life, with interests and hobbies such as running, bike riding, cross country skiing, watching local, college and professional sports games, playing bridge and other card games, reading fictional and other types of books, traveling (locally, within the US and Internationally), visiting Italy, his family ancestral place of origin, watching the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band, chanting the UMass Fight Song, playing dices games with his grandchildren, and taking annual family vacations at Cape Cod.

Some of his most special memories of the family Cape vacations, included low tide beach walking at Rock Harbor Orleans, watching sunsets, early morning walks along the ocean, lobster dinners, visiting Monomoy Island in Chatham, swimming in the water, visiting the National Sea Shore, climbing the stairs at Province Town Tower, crabbing at Well Fleet Harbor, Ice Cream “lunches”, Geocaching, Mini Golf at Arnolds, watching the Orleans Firebirds baseball games, and family dinners.

His favorite family vacation saying when at the Cape: “What are the rules: There are no rules” (his way of saying have fun, do what you want, make the vacation what you want it to be).

The family will be celebrating and honoring Hank through a private Celebration of Life gathering.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks for prayers and in his memory, to listen to the UMass Minutemen Marching Band play his favorite song: “My Way” by Frank Sinatra

He did it his way!

Condolences may be sent to Jean Tamagno, Room A127 St Patrick’s Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham MA 01701

Hank was beloved by his family and by his Lions family and he will be sorely missed by all.
