From sunrise to sunset great things were happening around town.
The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project dispatched Ed, Jim, and Nick to the Holliston Recycling center to collect old tires. The stack behind them represents what had been collected in the first hour of the collection. Good riddance old tires and the mosquitoes they housed!
Tire Update – October 22nd; A total of 248 tires were turned in!
From Marshall Street the action moved over to Norfolk Street where the 1st Annual Car Show was going on at Arcadian Farm.
The vehicles filled the front parking area and had an annex behind the farm stand. The bright sunshine ‘highlighted’ the beautiful finish of the cars and trucks on display.
As the sun set, the party moved to the Miller School parking lot for SEPAC’s annual “Trunk or Treat.” There was a great turnout of visitors – most in costume – to enjoy the cleverly decorated vehicles.
HFD provided Engine 3 to control traffic and greet the youngsters.
The colorful displays were very clever. Too many to include here, but this one caught our attention. Not so much for the ingenious gumball machine, mostly for the confident dad who donned the unicorn costume. Real men do wear pink – especially in October.
