With thanks to Ryan Clapp, Holliston Conservation Agent
In this age of “social distancing,” it is important to remember not just to protect your physical health but also your mental well-being. Holliston’s Conservation Properties and trails will remain open to the public during this time for a much needed escape from the stresses of COVID-19.
For the health and safety of others, please remember the following during this time:
- Remain 6 feet apart from one another. Be sure to share the trail with bikers, hikers, and all others;
- Maintain a group size of fewer than 10 people;
- Keep your dogs under control; (NOTE: due to anticipated increased traffic on trails and properties, the Conservation Commission will be requiring that all dogs remain on leashes AT ALL TIMES.)
- Take out what you take in, including any trash, dog waste, or other items on your person. Not only is this an eyesore, but it can cause increased disease transmission;
- No motorized vehicles (except those required by public safety officials in an emergency).
The Holliston Conservation Commission would like to thank everyone for your cooperation during these unprecedented times. Remember: it’s your land — enjoy it! (But enjoy it responsibly!)
