Alan Douglas Wehr at 78
Alan Douglas Wehr, 78, of West Wareham, passed away Friday, November 27th at the Sippican Rehabilitation/Healthcare Center in Marion, MA due to complications of advanced Parkinson’s Disease and COVID-19.
At Al’s request, his funeral services will be private.
Select Board Quarterly Recap: July – September 2020
The Select Board has several critical functions, many of which have been upended by Coronavirus and the closing of Town Hall to foot traffic. Challenges are not unusual, and while it may be difficult to have meetings, the residents of Holliston have been able to engage and participate much more often. The paradigm of 2020 has meant greater input from the residents of the Town, even if it seems more isolating than before.

As the holiday near and the COVID-19 pandemic persists, this may be a difficult time for many of us and our loved ones. The stress and anxiety created by the health and economic impacts of COVID-19 haven’t gone anywhere, and for some, the holidays may be painful reminders of the loss of loved ones or the isolation created by social distancing.
COVID-19: November 23, 2020 Update from Representative Dykema
As of Friday, the statewide travel order, which rates other states’ risk level based on their positive test and new case rates, now lists only Vermont and Hawaii as “lower-risk” states not requiring quarantine or testing upon entering Massachusetts.
Notice of Public Hearing – Tax Classification; November 30, 2020
The Public Hearing for Tax Classification will open at 7:30 PM on November 30 with the Select Board and Board of Assessors and after discussion the Hearing will remain open and be continued to December 7 at 7:30 PM.

Ryan Cahill — Winner of the 2020 Stony Brook Short Fiction Prize
The State University of New York, Stony Brook Southampton, announced Ryan Cahill, a Holliston resident and recent graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, is a finalist for the 2020 Stony Brook Short Fiction Prize for his story “That Summer We Were Boys.”
