Milestones: Four Scouts from Troop 73 Earn Eagles
On June 19, 2021, four Boy Scouts from Holliston’s Troop 73 received their Eagle Awards in a Court of Honor held at Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Be on TV! Looking for Trivia Show Contestants!
Holliston Cable Access Television (HCAT) is searching for residents to be contestants on a new community TV game show called “What Do You Know?” Production of this exciting new trivia game show will begin later this summer.
Happy 100th Legion Post 47
Holliston’s American Legion Post 47 reached its 100th anniversary in 2020. The Laser Light show they threw for the Town was a fitting celebration – worth waiting a year.

Laser Light Show Saturday Night
Remember just a few weeks ago, if you remembered you had no mask half-way into the grocery store, you’d head back to get the mask. Then rather instantaneously, pandemic restrictions eased. The quick change allowed the folks at the local Lions Club to swiftly organize their Annual Carnival which had been in doubt due to the pandemic.
Meantime, the local American Legion Post 47 had scheduled a laser light show on July 10, 2021. Originally, the show was scheduled to celebrate the Legion’s 100th Anniversary in 2020 but was postponed due to COVID-19.
Holliston Happenings: Week of July 5, 2021
This week starts off with the July 4th observance on July 5th. The Lions’ Carnival runs Wed – Sat. Saturday morning is Holliston’s Hazardous Waste recycling event – followed by the Legion’s Laser Light show that night at Goodwill Park.

A Key to a Bit of Native American Language in Holliston
Town Historian, Joanne Hulbert shares a language lesson. English is the dominant language of Massachusetts and Holliston since its settlement. There was a language spoken here long before the arrival of the Europeans who paid scant attention to the language spoken by the Native Americans. Fortunately, a few people did.
