A flurry of activity followed the Town Elections, as Dan Alfred resigned from the Finance Committee to assume his place as newly elected member of the School Committee. Only the week prior, the Holliston Federation of Teachers (HFT) reported a vote of no confidence in the Superintendent. During its June 1 meeting, the School Committee voted to appoint Alfred its new Chair.

Holliston Knights of Columbus Hold Successful Golf Tournament
Ninety golfers (23 teams) participated in the St. Mary’s of Holliston KofC Council 14224’s Second Annual Swing for Charity Golf Tournament on June 9th at Pinecrest Golf Club.
The 2023 Tournament raised $13,000 which will be donated to the Holliston Pantry Shelf.
Calling all Registered Democrats in Holliston
Holliston Democratic Town Committee (DTC) members are hosting an in-person caucus to select delegates to attend the 2023 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. The Holliston caucus will convene at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Council on Aging Holds its Annual Meeting
The Holliston Council on Aging held its monthly meeting on June 14, 2023. Chair Yvette Cain (below left front) called the meeting to order at 2:30pm – the start was delayed so all could enjoy the “Summer Sizzler” luncheon.

We believe that this four-point plan demonstrates our commitment to communicating with the district as we endeavor to rebuild trust and to improve the working relationships among the school administration, the Holliston Federation of Teachers (HFT), and the Holliston School Committee (HSC).
