COVID-19: October 13, 2020 Update from Representative Dykema

Housing instability has been a persistent threat during the COVID-19 pandemic, as families work to stay in safe, stable living situations in an unpredictable economic environment. The Legislature passed a temporary moratorium on non-essential evictions at the beginning of the pandemic to protect those in imminent risk of homelessness, and significant state and federal funding has already been dedicated toward housing support.

School Committee Meets Thursday Evening

The School Committee meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM on October 8, by Chair Stacey Raffi, following an Executive Session for the purpose of Collective Bargaining. Visitors to the meeting included Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Michael Cassidy, Board of Health Director Scott Moles, and Director of Athletics, Matt Baker.

Local Business Receives Award

The Association of Water Technologies (AWT) named Walchem, a division of Iwaki America and a Holliston manufacturing business located in Hopping Brook Park for over 30 years, “Supplier of the Year” during its 2020 Convention and Exposition.
