As you will no doubt see in today’s newsletter, the statewide COVID-19 report, and ongoing news coverage of our pandemic, today Massachusetts reported its third consecutive day of 1,000+ new positive cases. Governance Committee Recaps Progress and Formulates a Plan
Chair Sam Tyler called the Governance Committee (GC) remote meeting to order Thursday afternoon at 4 PM. The members voted to accept minutes from meetings of Sept. 24 and October 1. To frame the meeting, Tyler recapped work accomplished in recent meetings.

COVID-19: October 23, 2020 Update from Representative Dykema
As you are likely aware, most public health officials now expect that the coming weeks and months will bring another major uptick in COVID-19 cases. We do not yet know the size or scope of that increase, but we have much better data available than we did in March to track and understand the trajectory of the virus.
