FAMILY FUN AND DANCE LESSON

The Holliston Education Foundation (HEF) is co-hosting a family fun and line dance event with the Holliston Community Action Fund on Friday October 23rd.  This will be the first “Fun-raiser” for HEF this year at the Placentino-Miller Cafetorium from 7-8:30pm.  There will be a line dance lesson from 7-8pm by local dance teacher, Karen Leeds, from the cafetorium stage, while students and children can learn to dance with their families or head to the kids’ activity area nearby.  Students of the Holliston Community Action Fund (HCAF) will lead the activities and help sell snacks and drinks during and after the line dancing.  Entrance is $10 per person or $30 per family, all in support of the Holliston Education Foundation and the Holliston Community Action Fund.

HEF has been supporting the good ideas by the Holliston faculty and staff for the past 30 years to fund and promote innovation and creativity in our schools and classrooms, thanks to our major sponsor, Middlesex Savings Bank.  Last year we funded grants to support projects in the Placentino MakerSpace, language translation tools the Miller school classrooms and Chill Room, and drumming curriculum development as well as CPR teaching aids at the Adams Middle School.

The HCAF provides emergency funds for families experiencing unexpected emergencies by working closely with the Town of Holliston Office of Youth and Family Services; HCAF also pursues community betterment and togetherness activities with a Student Division of high school and middle school students.  Visit our website to find out more about these enrichment grants at www.HollistonEdFoundation.org as well as www.HollistonCommunityAction.org

Parents and community members can contribute to the Holliston Education Foundation or the HCAF fundraising efforts at our websites on our donations pages.
