A busy weekend coming up here in town. After scoring some pizza at the Lions’ Club Carnival, dropping off your hazardous waste on Saturday at the Adams Middle School, and attending the American Legion’s Laser Light Show at Goodwill, why not bring your favorite frog to the Farmer’s Market on Sunday.

The Farmer’s Market announces its first annual frog jumping contest on Sunday, July 11th at 11 am. Parents, get those kids out of the house and into Mother Nature’s wonderland. Prizes will be awarded, $50, $25, and $15 for the greatest jumping distance. All entrants must promise to return their frogs to Mother Nature after the contest.

The Jim Pizzi Band will provide music at the market and hopefully can sing a rendition of Three Dog Nights 1971 release, “Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog.”
