Golden Bear Pride Shines as Scott Christopher Langmeyer of Holliston Graduates from Western New England University

SPRINGFIELD, MA (07/29/2024)– Scott Christopher Langmeyer graduated from Western New England University with a BS in Construction Management.

The undergraduate ceremony was held on Sunday, May 19, at the MassMutual Center in downtown Springfield. More than 520 students received their degrees. The top fields of study were Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Sports Management.

In his remarks, President Robert E. Johnson pushed students to embrace every challenge as an opportunity for growth: “As you navigate the uncertainties and opportunities that lie ahead, remember that you possess the influence to inspire, innovate, and transform our global society.”

Nina Sullivan, who will graduate with a degree in Forensic Chemistry, was selected to deliver the student address. “For me, every day at Western New England University since the first semester of freshman year contained an ‘I can’t wait’ moment. Everything was so new, and I couldn’t wait to do it all,” added Sullivan as she addressed her fellow graduates. “After every accomplishment, each ‘I can’t wait’ moment became an ‘I did it’ moment; each experience became a memory that I can look back on forever.”

The Western New England University graduating class of 2024 hailed from 21 states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia. Graduates also came from Canada, India, Malaysia, and Pakistan.
