Join for the livestream release of her new music video and single, Around the Sun.
Kimayo is premiering a new single and music video, Around the Sun, streaming live to YouTube and Facebook at 8PM EDT on April 2nd.
When Kimayo was eight, her father, Charlie, was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was fifteen when he died. Written as a tribute to him, Around the Sun is a journey of reflection, healing, and gratitude.
This release comes after Kimayo’s three-month virtual tour across twelve states and Canada. Through these private concerts, participants overcame feelings of isolation and experienced connection, solidarity, and hope.

Publishers’ Note: After receiving the above press release, we reached out to Kimayo (aka Kim Mayo) to learn more about her Holliston connection. Below is her response.
“Thank you so much for connecting and for helping me share my music with the Holliston community.
My dad grew up in Holliston and passed in 2005. His name was Charlie Mayo. My grandmother, who still lives in Holliston, is Sadie Mayo. (I grew up in Uxbridge, MA)
Another great connection to Holliston is with The Greenhouse recording studio where I record and mix my music. John McArthur and his wife Reva Tankle lived in Holliston raising their two sons until they purchased a home in Gilford, NH to start The Greenhouse recording studio. John, Reva, and their son Sam McArthur co-own the studio, and Sam is also the sound engineer.”
