HOLLISTON, Mass. – The Town of Holliston is seeking applicants to fill an open seat on the Library Board of Trustees, and the appointment will end May 2026 (next Town Election) at which time the open seat will be on the ballot. The Holliston Library Board of Trustees is an elected body of six (6) members, and this vacancy is due to a resignation after the May 2025 election.
Any resident interested in appointment to the seat through the May 2026 may send a Letter of Interest to the Town Manager’s Office to be reviewed and considered by the Library Board of Trustees Committee and Select Board. Due date will be Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.
A Letter of Interest must include: name, address, background information and/or qualifications, and reason for interest in the Library Board of Trustees. Must be a registered voter of the Town of Holliston. Pursuant to Town By-Laws, an appointment of Library Board of Trustees will require roll call vote of the Board of Trustees and Select Board, followed by a swearing in by the Town Clerk before the appointed person will be a voting member of the Board of Trustees.
