Woodland Street traffic will be detoured for the foreseeable future while work is planned and performed on the bridge/culvert located at the Factory Pond Dam (across from the 8 Arch Bridge).

Tina Hein Encourages Questions and Conversations
Tina Hein reserves time prior to her weekly Select Board meetings to chat with residents. On any Monday evening at 6 PM, residents are encouraged to meet Hein in the comfort of the Upper Town Hall conference room (also accessible by elevator). Hein invited me to visit with her recently, and I found her to be encouraging of questions and open to any conversation topics and direction.

FUNdraiser for HEF
The Holliston Education Foundation (HEF) will be hosting a “Jump for HEF” fundraising event on Tuesday February 21st from 10am to 6pm at Altitude Trampoline Park in Franklin, MA. Students of all ages are invited to jump for the Holliston Schools during Tuesday of their winter break from classes on the 21st.

Sylvia Stickney, previously of Holliston, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023.

February 13, 2023, Select Board Meeting
The Holliston Select Board held its weekly meeting on Monday, February 13, 2023 (otherwise known as Valentine’s Day eve). Chair Ben Sparrell called the meeting to order at 7:00pm sharp. The studious looks below indicate the level of attention to detail related to the scheduled proposed FY 24 budgets.
Fire / EMS Log for Week of February 3 – 9, 2023
Holliston Fire had a very busy week – both in town and providing mutual aid during the fire at Brockton Hospital.
Fifteen emergency calls were handled on Sunday, February 5th alone.

Holliston High School students are diving into new classes with the new term starting in mid-January. The bitter cold has not slowed students’ busy schedules. Theodore S. Valpey Jr. at 90
Theodore S. Valpey Jr., 90, of Dover, NH and formerly of Holliston, MA passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home at 854 Washington St. in Holliston, MA.
