HCAT’s annual meeting was anything but routine this year when the Board took time to honor retiring member, Dan Sweeney. Dan served for nine years, but he is also one of the legacy producers of local television. Dan’s show was called “Profiles in Business” and between 1989 and 1991, he showcased 75 or more local business owners.

Council on Aging Holds November Meeting
The November meeting of the Holliston Council on Aging was held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Chair Yvette Cain called the meeting to order at 2:00pm with all members present in person.
The Davey Awards Announces Winners
Story Time with Chief Cassidy: “Nozzlehead What Firefighters Do” (Episode 33) was recognized as a Silver Award winner in the General Education category. In this episode, first grade students utilize their illustration skills and author talents to show and explain “What Firefighters Do”. Each student in Mrs. Kristen Schutter’s class created their own image and story to educate others as to firefighter’s responsibilities. From fighting fires to medical calls, rescues and even saving cats from trees, the students capture exciting moments and share them all in this book by TJ Spencer.
