Mercy Street by Jennifer Haigh centers around a women’s clinic in Boston. It is a social commentary on the happenings of the people who come and go… employees, patients and protesters. This is a character-driven story and Haigh expertly puts us in the minds of each of her well developed and complex characters.

Barbara Mary Jerome
On September 10, 2022, Barbara Mary Jerome of Framingham, a former 50-year resident of Holliston, passed away at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, after a brief period of declining health.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.
Select Board Continues Discussion of the Fall Town Meeting Warrant
At 7:00pm on Monday, September 12, 2022, Select Board Chair Ben Sparrell called the weekly meeting to order. He suggested that the Board would be handling a “fun-filled” agenda dealing largely with the Fall Town Meeting warrant.

HFD responded to several medical emergencies, including two motor vehicle crashes.
Several members of HFD assisted HPD in a search off Adams Street.

Arcadian Farms Annual Car Show
The Arcadian Farms Annual Car Show on Saturday, September 17, noon-3:00 pm in Holliston. The event is free! There will be food, fun, R & B music provided by the BIG CHIEF band and classic cars. The event is family friendly. Arcadian Farms is located at 258 Norfolk Street. The rain date is Sunday, September 18.

Natick-based TLC Painting, owned by John Mulvaney of Holliston, has been awarded the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) 2022 Corporate Citizenship Community Collaboration Award, in recognition of the company’s significant support of Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island and its mission of creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. This year’s four honorees were recognized at the BBJ’s 16th Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards program on September 8 in Boston.

Serious Accident Closes Highland Street at Summit Pointe Sunday Night
HPD Chief Matthew Stone has released this information regarding a serious motor vehicle crash. MedFlight helicopters transported the victims to Worcester.
The accident investigation is ongoing.
