We’ve Been Working on the Rail Trail
The Holliston Trails Committee, chaired by Robert Weidknecht, quietly meets every month to discuss and decide on actions to take for the betterment of the Town’s 6.7-mile Upper Charles Rail Trail.

Rev. Antonio (Anthony) Lalli, S.X., a member of the Xaverian Missionary Fathers, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12th from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston.
Library Trustees Welcome New Member and Attend to Business
The December 1, 2021, remote meeting of the Library Trustees began at 7:01 PM with Chair Karla Alfred’s roll call of members. On this evening, Gweneth Swain, newest member, was present for her first meeting and a kind welcome.

Early colonial settlers might be amused that 297 years later the town would have a committee called “Envisioning Future Holliston”. Their prime concern was most likely firewood and something to eat. Only a handful of families resided in town back then which was a part of Sherborn.

Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors Thanks YOU!
The Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors Thanksgiving Committees could not have done it without YOU! HNN was not only able to contribute to the Thanksgiving efforts of the Holliston Pantry Shelf’s gift cards to patrons and the Holliston Senior Center’s meals for seniors – but we were also able to contribute to helping other organizations that support the Holliston Community such as Head Start and Wayside Youth.
Earl George Elliott Jr.
Mr. Earl George Elliott, Jr., 74, was born on December 6, 1946 to the late Mr. Earl Elliot Sr. and the late Mrs. Bertha Elliot in Holliston, MA. During Earl’s high school career, he played both football and baseball.
Select Board – November 29, 2021 Meeting
The Holliston Select Board convened its weekly meeting on November 29, 2021 at 7:00pm after two other important events at Town Hall. Chair Tina Hein lit the menorah in front of Town Hall on the second night of Hanukkah. Members of the Select Board then proceeded to Upper Town Hall to award the 2021 Holliston Humanitarian awards to three worthy recipients.
Select Board Honors 2021 Holliston Humanitarians
Tina Hein, Chair of the Holliston Select Board, welcomed honorees, family, and friends to the 2021 Humanitarian Awards ceremony in the Upper Town Hall on Monday evening at 6:15 PM. Hein explained the awards were the brainchild of former Select Board member Mark Ahronian. In 2019, Ahronian wanted to “identify volunteers who make a true and profound difference in the community.” Ahronian was present at tonight’s celebration.
