Senate President Karen Spilka’s Health and Wellness Fair to Serve Active Seniors and Their Families

Spilka’s annual health and wellness fair returns to an in-person format with a revised name, a broadened focus that includes active older adults, a streamlined registration process, and an invitation for younger generations to accompany older family members to the event slated for October 22, 2022.

American Legion Post 47 Announces Annual 9/11 Awards Ceremony

American Legion Post 47 Past Commander Stephen Bradford announced recently that the annual 9/11 Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 10:00am in the Upper Town Hall. The event is open to the public.
Valle’s Art Featured in Chinatown Murals

Nell Valle, Holliston High School alumna (2017), will have her mural featured this fall in Boston Chinatown on the windows of the Liuyishou Hotpot, 702 Washington Street, as a part of the “Experience Chinatown Arts Festival 2022.”
Senior Center Fall Fair and other September Events

Cultural Council Seeking Proposals for 2023

The Holliston Cultural Council (HCC) seeks proposals to fund cultural programming for a variety of ages and interests throughout the year, including music and dance performances, visual arts exhibits and workshops, and school-based events. The HCC was pleased to offer many in-person events last year and looks forward to offering innovative programming in 2023.

The continuing drought was evident as HFD responded to several brush fires – one a forestry task force activation in Marlboro.
The ambulance crews responded to several medical emergencies including two motor vehicle crashes.
HHS Athletic Hall of Fame Announced

The HHS Athletic Hall of Fame is currently looking for four additional members to join Head Softball Coach Don Quindley and Assistant Wrestling Coach Alex Strum on the HHS HoF selection committee to organize the induction and vote on inductees over the coming months.
