Boston, MA – January 2025 – Mezzo-soprano Fanny Lora, in collaboration with pianist
Alexandra Lutkevich, is bringing her classical tour, Through My Eyes: Sounds of the Americas,
to Boston. This dynamic program highlights classical compositions by trailblazing women
composers from Cuba, Argentina, and Colombia, paired with My Name is Alondra, a powerful
song cycle by Boston-based composer Omar Najmi, featuring the poetry of
Dominican-American poet Alondra Bobadilla, Boston’s 2020 Youth Poet Laureate.
Audiences will be immersed in a rich tapestry of sound, exploring universal themes such as
love, loss, motherhood, mental health, and folklore. The tour aims to spotlight diversity and
inclusivity in classical music, offering a platform to voices often underrepresented in the genre.
