Happy Holidays – In Holliston
Today, our calendars are filled with many holidays and even Chase’s Calendar of Events assigns something to commemorate every day of the year. By the way, January 2022, according to Chase, is “officially” Be Kind to Food Servers Month, Oatmeal Month, Rising Star Month – worldwide – and Book Blitz Month, all worthy to be celebrated. But it wasn’t always like that.

Holliston Youth Basketball – Week 3
Holliston Youth Basketball was back this past week spreading some holiday cheer with more wins than losses, a few undefeated teams still in the mix and a thrilling third-quarter come back. A few teams will be playing in a Holiday Tournament next week, but all teams will enjoy a well-deserved holiday break from regular season MetroWest play and start back up again on January 2nd.
Veterans Monument Becoming a Reality
On a small parcel of land near Blair Square, the long-anticipated Veterans Monument honoring those deployed in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars is taking shape. Nowhere in town are these veterans recognized and appreciated for their service. Ever since roughly 2008 the idea for such a monument has been bantered about, and the time for action has come. Steve Napolitano, Ron Turcotte and Stan Feinberg took the nub of an idea and developed it into a buildable project.

January Programs at the Library
The Friends of the Holliston Public Library will present “Tales From the Home of the World’s Worst Weather” on Thursday, January 13, at 7 PM.
School Committee Meets In-Person with Remote Call-Ins
The School Committee (SC) met for executive and regular sessions on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Chair Cynthia Listewnik called the open meeting to order shortly after 7 PM, with all members present, and the membership unanimously voted to approve for posting the minutes of several past meetings.
