Loring Barnes’ name will appear on the Republican primary ballot. In mid-August a “refresher” of all candidates on the primary ballots will be posted along with sample ballots.

The Prana Center wrapped up two weeks of their popular Summer Stock “play in a week” program with a production of Alice in Wonderland at Christ the King Church, Friday, July 22.
Select Board Meets to Discuss Drought Impact
The Holliston Select Board held a rare mid-week, mid-day meeting prompted by the urgent need for water at the Pinecrest Golf Course. Mr. Ahern and Mr. Sparrell were on vacation. Vice-chair John Cronin called the remote meeting to order at 3:00pm.

Additional State Funding Available to Artists
The Holliston Cultural Council distributes grant money provided by the State to local artists and other providers of culture. The Council has learned that another source of State funding for local artists will soon become available.
MassBay’s Radiologic Technology’s Class of 2022 Achieves Perfect Pass Rate
MassBay Community College proudly announced today that its Class of 2022 has achieved a perfect pass rate on the national American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) licensure exam. Individuals who pass this exam are fully qualified to enter the profession and work as Radiologic Technologists. In addition to passing the ARRT exam, all seven MassBay graduates were offered jobs in the field.

The recording of local history during the 19th and early 20th century advanced significantly with the rise of newspapers that preserved – especially for the benefit of future historians – the everyday, seemingly mundane local news as well as “ancient” history.
Holliston is looking forward to 2024, when the town will celebrate 300 years since its incorporation. . . We want to hear from people who have lived in Holliston all their lives (the so-called Townies), and we also want to hear from people who moved here last week.
