October is National Cookbook month and it’s no wonder why. Who doesn’t want to get in the kitchen when the temperatures start to dip. It’s harvest time and the rich flavors of fall produce are in abundance. Time to start baking and there’s no better place to start than with versatile, delicious pies! So here is our October book pick – The Book on Pie by Erin Jeanne McDowell.
The Council on Aging held its October meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the Holliston Senior Center.
Father’s Day 2022 was reenacted at the Holliston Historical Society on Sunday, October 16, 2022. The original June 19, 2022, date was rained out but the desire to display collector cars and trucks on the society’s beautiful grounds is not easily discouraged.
Come see “the greatest American play ever written,” according to playwright Edward Albee. At the upper town hall, at 7:30, next weekend both Friday 10/21 and Saturday 10/22, the Washington Street Players will be putting on a grand version of Our Town. Holliston SEPAC hosts some spooky fun this Saturday from 6:30 – 8:00pm in the elementary school parking lots.
