Our Open Places: Last in a Continuing Series
It seems like yesterday I was planning long excursions after the working day to take advantage of those precious summer daylight hours. This has been a summer of hiking, paddle sports, fishing and finding the special places that are in Holliston and the surrounding community. The summer is now over and with that the inevitable change in daylight hours, temperatures, and wildlife behavior.

Youth Advisory Committee Meets
Youth Advisory Committee Chair Jen Lieberman opened the Monday (9.20.21) evening meeting at 7:03 PM with a nod to attending infant Morgan, introduced to all by returning mom Kirsten Rancourt, Community Therapist and Court Diversion Coordinator. Following many expressions of joy for Morgan’s arrival, the Council approved June 2021 meeting minutes.
HPD Calls for Service – August 2021
During August, Holliston’s Finest responded to 1,253 calls for service.
Select Board Holds Two Hearings and Hires An Asst. Town Administrator
The Holliston Select Board met on Monday, September 20, 2021 to tackle a customary “robust agenda.” Chair Tina Hein called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm.

Fire / EMS Log for Week of September 10 – 16, 2021
This week’s HFD emergency calls were mainly for medical care / transport. There was one kitchen fire that drew the firefighters’ attention.
Fair Weather and Apple Pies Draw Visitors to Historical Society’s Harvest Fair
The Holliston Historical Society’s (HHS) Harvest Fair, held on its picturesque grounds, drew a crowd from near and far Sunday, September 19, 2021. The house, the barn, and the front yard over-flowed with yummies, treasures, tunes, and opportunities for all to enjoy. The sun shone brightly on the historic yellow house on Washington Street, and its lawn buzzed with the activity of a community about to make up for lost time.
