While most of us were hunkered down as of March 16, 2020, the work of town government continued uninterrupted as the paid professionals and unpaid officials met via Zoom and even conducted hiring procedures for several positions. Here’s what they have to say about trying to start new jobs during COVID. We asked the same questions of all of them. This is the first in the series.

The Governance Committee (GC) met remotely on Thursday (6.24.21) for the purpose of making adjustments to its working plan.

Holliston had a lot to celebrate last weekend, perhaps most notably was the launch of our town’s very own Farmers Market. As a member of the Holliston Cable Access board, I was proud to be part of the crew on the scene to capture some of the special moments for our community to relive for years to come.

You may recall that in early May, the St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus Council held an electronics recycling event. The Knights partnered with the Green Team to make the tired old electronics go away.

John Allen Lindfelt, 100 years old, of Medway and New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away June 24, 2021.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The School Committee (SC) open meeting of 6.22.21 began at 8:07 PM, following Executive Session for the purpose of Collective Bargaining Strategy with the Holliston Federation of Teachers.
Students from the Innovative Conceptual Design and Engineering program at Holliston High School were tasked with creating cardboard boats using limited supplies and materials to test the physical laws of buoyancy during a ten-week summer program.
