Holliston has many things that add to our quality of life. The Rail Trail, Library, conservation land with its walking trails, Senior Center and Parks and Recreation Department all make Holliston a special place.

“A Holliston Call to Duty” is a tribute to military veterans from the small Massachusetts town of Holliston, thirty miles southwest of Boston. Little has been previously told about the lives of these men and women who were called in times of peace and war to the nation’s defense.

The April meeting of the Council on Aging (CoA) was held in the mostly refurbished Holliston Senior Center Great Room on Wednesday the 14th.
The quarterly water bills were mailed out Thursday, April 15, 2021. This bill reflects water usage for the period January to March 2021 and any arrears.
Elnora “Michele” Curran, 80, of Holliston, passed away peacefully at Milford Regional Medical Center on Monday, April 12, 2021 surrounded by her children.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 30th from 4 to 7 at Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. A Mass will be Saturday, May 1st at 11:00 at St. Brendan’s Church in Bellingham.
For the past 12 months people have chosen to go outside as a way to break up the monotony of quarantining during the COVID pandemic. They went outside to walk. I saw some people who went outside to kayak. Many people went outside to go fishing. During the summer, families went outside to cook and eat. If company came, we went outside to talk on opposite sides of the driveway while wearing masks.

The Holliston Conservation Commission, a seven-member volunteer board, currently has an opening for a 3-year term starting July 1, 2021. If you are a Holliston resident with an interest in wetland and conservation issues and would like to serve your Town on a volunteer board, then the Commission encourages you to apply for this position. No experience is necessary, however, experience in a field, such as science, engineering, or regulatory matters is helpful.
This month’s Youth Advisory Committee meeting was called to order on Monday, April 12, at 7:06 PM by Chair Jennifer Liebermann.
The week had a one day total of 11 emergency calls – the other days were quieter. HFD responded to a mulch fire during their busy week.
