The Monday, January 11, 2021 meeting of the Holliston Select Board convened at 6:30 pm to discuss a wide range of Town business. Emergency Management Director, Fire Chief Michael Cassidy led off with the weekly COVID update.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a significant threat to health and public safety in every community in the Commonwealth. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of last week represented our #2, #1, and #3 highest single-day totals for new confirmed cases, respectively, and as of January 7th, 219 of our 351 communities are considered in the highest risk category for the virus.
Lots going on this week – especially Board / Committee meetings.
The Holliston Select Board has opened the Warrant for the May 10, 2021 Town Meeting.
The quarterly water bills will be mailed out Friday, January 15, 2021.
The School Committee (SC) met on Thursday evening (1.7.21) with various items on its agenda that also included some visitors. Chair Stacey Raffi opened the remote meeting at 7:02 PM, and requested a moment of silence be observed “in the spirit of mindfulness, to remember those who are suffering and who’ve been lost.”

On Saturday January 16, 2021 in St. Mary’s Father Haley Hall, the Council will sponsor its annual Red Cross Blood Drive.
William Earl Jones, 74, of Holliston, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from complications following surgery.
Twenty of the 39 Holliston properties that changed ownership in December 2020.
