April 20th Update: I want to wish everyone a healthy and safe Patriots’ Day. This holiday celebrates and recognizes the perseverance, dedication, and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom – theirs and ours. Today, we instead recognize the dedication and sacrifice of our healthcare professionals, first responders, and essential services workers who are participating in the ultimate marathon – saving lives and protecting the public health.
Doris Helene O’Neil, 92, of Holliston, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020.

Today is Patriots Day. Then, the colonists fought the British. Now, we’re fighting a virus. We will win again!
The School Committee met Thursday night in the privacy (somewhat) of each member’s home, voting once again to conduct business remotely during Holliston’s stay at home advisory.

U.S. Army Chief-of-staff General McConville spoke at the Governor’s briefing on April 18th. He said we are fighting a war against an invisible foe – the virus. A critical part of the strategy is identifying and quarantining those who have the virus. Two components of this strategy are increased testing and contact tracing.
