Project 351 Food Drive to Support Holliston Pantry Shelf

Holliston Reporter

From Pranav Govindarajan, Holliston’s Project 351 Ambassador

My name is Pranav Govindarajan, a high school freshman, and the Project 351 Ambassador representing Holliston this year. Project 351 is a nonprofit service organization working to serve the different cities and towns in Massachusetts. As an Ambassador, I am grateful for the opportunity to lead a Food Drive to benefit our very own Holliston Pantry Shelf. With the holidays fast approaching, what better time than now to help our local communities battle food insecurity?

  • Today, one million Massachusetts residents are at risk of hunger — with the highest percent increase of food insecurity of any of the 50 states (source: Feeding America)
  • Child food-insecurity has also grown dramatically, with 1-in-5 children living in food-insecure households, a 102% increase over pre-COVID-19 levels
  • 1 in 11 people in Massachusetts struggle with hunger
  • Food insecurity has skyrocketed from 8.4% of households to 16.6% of households as of July

I would like to request your help to support families that are struggling to put food on their table. Never underestimate the power of your actions. Please drop your donations off at any of the locations listed on the flyer. With one kind gesture, you can change someone’s life. Let us unite, and serve together to make an impact in this fight against hunger.

Thank you for your support.
