From Joanne O’Connell
Hello Tim’s Team Supporters!
We are quickly approaching the date of the delayed and, for some of us, virtual 2021 Boston Marathon.
On Monday, October 11, 2021, Holliston High School English Teacher Jaime Murphy, Tim’s mother Joanne O’Connell, Miller Third Grade French Immersion Teacher Claire Picard, and Holliston High School English Teacher Don Quindley will run this year’s Boston Marathon on the Rail Trail in Holliston in memory of Tim O’Connell and for so many others affected by cancer.
They will set out from the Gazebo at Blair Square at Central Street at 8:30 am. Everyone is welcome to come to the Trail to cheer them on, run with them, and support The Timothy O’Connell Foundation. Please remember that the runners may be running together or individually, running at a pace that will carry them through the 26.2 miles. If you choose to run with anyone, you may have to slow your pace for the day! In addition, the runners may not be too talkative. They have to save their energy for the later miles!
The route: The first “lap” will be to the cement monument at Zain Circle, just over the line in Milford and back to the Gazebo. The second and third “laps” will be to the intersection at Hopping Brook, just near Griffin Electric, and back to the Gazebo. The final “lap” will be to Monroe Street and back to finish at the Gazebo.
We hope to see you on the Trail on the 11th! We encourage you to donate to any of the runners by visiting www.timsteam.org and clicking on the EVENT tab and then Boston Marathon. The Foundation appreciates your continued support of its mission in honor of Tim O’Connell.
