This summer, Holliston Hub-hcat completed a significant equipment and software upgrade of our on air broadcasting and video edit capabilities.
What this means to our viewers and our coverage of town meetings and events is: the ability to stream meetings to multiple destinations and broadcasting in high definition once that is installed by Comcast.
-In a rapidly changing industry, Holliston Hub-hcat has state of the art transmitting and recording capacity that increases our efficiency and provides solid and reliable broadcasting for the future. Uploading of shows is quicker with less manual direction and can be done remotely.
-Importantly, all of our three channels are now live streaming online- our community can watch Holliston Hub-hcat meetings, games, and events without cable!
-An improved, interactive community bulletin board with new graphics. It gives us the ability to have a weather forecast and traffic map of Holliston and an event schedule that automatically updates.
-Upgraded video edit suites with industry standard Adobe Premier software. This means a vastly improved edit experience for our student interns, the communication class, and our volunteers. It enhances and is key to our mission of community and student education.
Most importantly, the guidance and support we received from Chris Meo was instrumental in the success of this complex project. He spent countless hours researching and sourcing the best equipment for our needs and advising us on installation and purchase. His commitment to Holliston Hub-hcat and his job is exemplary.
Holliston Hub-hcat deeply appreciates our partnership with Chris.
We look forward to continuing to serve Holliston with award winning, state of the art local news coverage.
Sincerely,
Chryso Lawless, President, HCAT -Tv Board of Directors
Bruce Gilfoy, Station Manager
