In this week’s basketball action – unfortunately Holliston’s last undefeated team was defeated. On the flip side, Holliston took down another town’s last unbeaten team. We had a heartbreaking overtime loss and an exciting one-point win. We also have a 5-game winning streak in the mix – keep it going 4th grade girls!
The Holliston Select Board (SB) held its weekly meeting on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 7:00pm. After calling the meeting to order, Chair Tina Hein invited State Representative Carolyn Dykema, and Dennis Giombetti, representing State Senate President Karen Spilka to provide an update.

Don’t look now but the town’s 300th is only shy of two years away. The Celebrate Holliston Committee has already begun brainstorming for a year-long schedule of events.

When Annie’s husband John dies of leukemia, she and her best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital’s waiting room. They manage to persuade four fellow Women’s Institute members to pose nude with them for an “alternative” calendar. The news of the women’s charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on their small English village. The calendar is a success, but Chris and Annie’s friendship is put to the test under the strain of their new-found fame. Directed by Marianne Phinney and based on a true story, Calendar Girls by Tim Firth is the Walpole Footlighters next production.
Rita Marie (Perry) Loscocco, 95, of Chatham, New Hampshire and a former longtime resident of Holliston, Massachusetts, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28th from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.
