Take Us Back to The Ball Game – At Goodwill Park – 1939

At the recent Holliston Historical Society Harvest Fair, many people saw the photographs on the walls in the main meeting room of the house. The baseball photos featured teams from the 1890s right up to recent years. One photograph came in for extra scrutiny. The 1939 Merchants team portrays 13 men plus a bat boy tucked in the first row.

Citizens Police Academy Enrollment is Now Open

The Holliston Police Department has scheduled its sixth Citizen’s Police Academy for October 14th through November 18th.  The focus of this six-week academy is to educate citizens about the Holliston Police Department, its organization, operations and role in the community.

Tim’s Team to Run Marathon on Holliston Rail Trail

On Monday, October 11, 2021, Holliston High School English Teacher Jaime Murphy, Tim’s mother Joanne O’Connell, Miller Third Grade French Immersion Teacher Claire Picard, and Holliston High School English Teacher Don Quindley will run this year’s Boston Marathon on the Rail Trail in Holliston in memory of Tim O’Connell and for so many others affected by cancer.

Veterans Day Dinner A Go

American Legion Commander Steve Bradford announced at the Post’s regular monthly meeting on Sunday October 3rd, that the Annual Veterans Day Dinner will be held this year at the Holliston Senior Center on Thursday November 11th beginning at 11 am.

Happy Thanksgiving from Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors

Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors is once again helping the Holliston Pantry Shelf and other local organizations that support Holliston to make this Thanksgiving a happy one. Many families have depended on the generous donations of all the fixings in past years but once again they will be receiving gift cards to create their special holiday meal. Last year, close to 200 families were recipients of a gift card through the Holliston Pantry Shelf or organizations such as Head Start and Wayside Youth.
