While the pandemic shut us down last year, and we had limited time to put this carnival on, fortunately, we were able to make it work. Thanks to the horrible weather we’ve been faced with we have had to make some tough decisions. We shut down after only a couple of hours on both Wednesday and Thursday and as a result, we were unable to do bracelet sales on Thursday. It’s not all bad news however! We’ve extended our carnival!

HFD responded to several medical emergencies and one structure fire during this reporting period.
A busy weekend coming up here in town. After scoring some pizza at the Lions’ Club Carnival, dropping off your hazardous waste on Saturday at the Adams Middle School, and attending the American Legion’s Laser Light Show at Goodwill, why not bring your favorite frog to the Farmer’s Market on Sunday.
The Select Board began wrapping up FY 21 and setting its course for FY 22 at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Remember just a few weeks ago, if you remembered you had no mask half-way into the grocery store, you’d head back to get the mask. Then rather instantaneously, pandemic restrictions eased. The quick change allowed the folks at the local Lions Club to swiftly organize their Annual Carnival which had been in doubt due to the pandemic.
Meantime, the local American Legion Post 47 had scheduled a laser light show on July 10, 2021. Originally, the show was scheduled to celebrate the Legion’s 100th Anniversary in 2020 but was postponed due to COVID-19.
