The town-by-town numbers in this week’s public health report, which I normally share with you on Thursdays, have been delayed until tomorrow, November 6th. In the interim, I wanted to provide a brief update on the COVID-19 testing being conducted by our state’s colleges and universities.
The Finishing Touch on the Rail Trail
The Holliston Rail Trail has a new, clear path through the once gravel parking area between Central and Church Streets. The newly paved parking area adjoins the clearly marked stone dust trail. The safety of walkers and bikers through this area is greatly improved. But it just didn’t happen. This was a great example of teamwork in action.

As you know, one of the areas most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic has been education. Our school districts, teachers, staff, and families have all worked incredibly hard to preserve student access to safe, high-quality learning during an extremely uncertain time.

The ambulance crews were called out at all hours of the day / night to assist residents in need. Medical emergencies don’t watch the clock.

Thank you to all of you who did your civic duty by voting today, and a special thanks to all who voted by mail or voted early to keep Election Day crowds low which in turn helps keep our poll workers, public safety officials, election officials, and neighbors healthy. Finally, thank you to all who worked hard to make participating in this election safe and accessible under extraordinary circumstances.
Nov. 3, 2020 Unofficial Election Results Are In
Roughly 85% of Holliston’s registered voters participated in this election. Congratulations to Town Clerk, Liz Greendale, her staff, and volunteers who made it safe and secure for residents to cast their ballots.

Tuesday is Election Day. Make sure your voice is heard. The polls are open at the High School from 7:00am to 8:00pm.
Soccer Twins
It’s not often that you have siblings excelling in the same sport, let alone at the same position. Senior Ellie Burke and Junior Owen Burke have committed themselves to playing soccer for years, both playing Holliston youth travel soccer and club at the highest levels.
