Today, the Governor announced an extension of orders governing the statewide stay-at-home advisory, closure of non-essential businesses, and large gathering bans through May 18th.
Using the revised Open Meeting Law guidelines outlined last month by Governor Baker, the Select Board held its weekly meeting from separate locations, with many citizens joining via Zoom and telephone conferences.

Everyone has a list of things that we’ll get to ‘someday.’ The pandemic has provided many somedays and this story chronicles one such project.
As we enter a new week and near the end of the month, I think it’s important to take stock of the “big picture” of this crisis. The recent data indicate that our statewide trends in terms of new COVID-19 cases, hospitalization rates, and deaths may be stabilizing but have not begun to decline meaningfully or consistently. This means that we are well-positioned to weather the “surge” without overwhelming our health care system, but we are not yet out of the woods.
