Notice is hereby given that the Town of Holliston’s 2022 Annual Town Meeting will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022.

This is the first in a series of periodic updates from the Governance Committee.
As the committee continues its work over the next several months, GC Chair Sam Tyler will provide progress reports.

Spring is a time for renewed life around town. Color pops out of everywhere. My unofficial survey asks, “What is your colorful sign of spring?” Is it forsythia, daffodils, pansies or another lovely that catches your eye?

The Holliston Select Board held its weekly meeting on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, as Monday the Commonwealth observed Patriots’ Day. Chair Tina Hein called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.

In honor of Earth Day, Vesta Real Estate Group, will be hosting Vesta’s 10th annual FREE Shredding Day. This great event is on April 23rd from 9am to Noon; located at the
parking lot of Holliston High School.
All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Holliston Trails.

In June of 2021, the Town of Holliston received an upgraded bond rating from Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings (“S&P”) to AAA, the highest available long-term rating on its outstanding general obligation (GO) bonds (upgraded from AA+). As of April 2022, the Town’s AAA bond rating has been reaffirmed, with a “Stable” outlook.

Chief Cassidy’s weekly report includes several instances where Medway and Holliston provided assistance to one another.
One report of a lightning strike was called in to HFD.

If spring is here… can Holi be far behind? To those unfamiliar with ‘Holi’, it is an ancient Indian spring festival that celebrates the arrival of the new season in a fun, vibrant and colorful way! This year, Holi arrived on March 18, but given that it was still too cold to be outdoors, the Metrowest Holliston community celebrated this wonderful festival on Sunday, April 3rd at Stoddard Park in Holliston.
